| Tiivistelmä: Abstract: | Fennoskandian kallioperäkartta -yhteistyöprojekti alkoi 1998 ja päättyi 2001. Tarkoituksena oli koota viimeisin kallioperätieto yhteen ja tuottaa siitä painettava kartta. Projekti toteutettiin Suomen, Ruotsin ja Norjan geologian tutkimuskeskusten sekä Venäjän tiedeakatemian Kuolan ja Karjalan tutkimuskeskusten, Prekambri-instituutin, Luoteis-Venäjän Luonnonvarayksikön, State Company Mineral:n ja VSEGEI:n yhteistyönä. Osapuolet kokosivat oman alueensa aineistot, jotka yhdistettiin GTK:ssa. Osapuolet vastaavat myös omien aineistojensa päivityksestä.
Fennoskandian kallioperäkartta sisältää kivilajit alueina, juonet ja tektoniikan viivoina, impaktikraatterit pisteinä sekä kimberliittiprovinssit alueina. Kartta-aineiston käyttömittakaava on 1:1 000 000. Fennoskandian kallioperäkartta painettiin kaksiosaisena.
/ The Geological Map of the Fennoscandian Shield Cooperation Project began in 1998 and ended in 2001. The purpose was to collate the latest bedrock information to produce a printed map. The project was carried out by the Geological Surveys of Finland (GTK), Sweden (SGU) and Norway (NGU) and through collaboration with the Kuola and Karelian Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Precambrian Geology and Geochronology of the Russian Academy of Sciences,the North-West Department of Natural Resources of Russia, the State Company Mineral (Russian Federation) and the VSEGEI (A.P. Karpinsky Russian Geological Research Institute). The participants compiled the data for their own region and these were combined at the GTK. Each participant was responsible for updating their own data. The Geological map of the Fennoscandian Shield contains lithologies as areas, dykes and tectonic features as lines, impact craters as points and kimberlite provinces as areas. The scale of use of the map data is 1:1 000 000. The Geological map of the Fennoscandian Shield was printed in two parts. |
| Käyttötarkoitus: Purpose: | Fennoskandian kallioperäkartta 1:1 000 000 soveltuu käytettäväksi alueelliseen, litologiseen, rakennegeologiseen ja tektoniseen tarkasteluun. Karttaa voi käyttää myös opetustarkoitukseen. Aineiston käyttömittakaava on 1:1 000 000.
/ The Geological map of the Fennoscandian Shield (1:1 000 000) is suitable for the regional assessment of lithology, structural geology and tectonics. The map can also be used for educational purposes. The scale of use of the data is 1:1 000 000. |

Muiden yhteistyömaiden vektoridataa voi tiedustella ao. aineistojen tuottajilta/omistajilta.
Kartta-aineiston tarkkuustaso vaihtelee alueittain johtuen alkuperäisaineistojen erilaisista mittakaavoista. Aineiston käyttömittakaava on 1:1 000 000.
/ The GTK only distributes the vector data for the Finnish area. The other countries vector data can be inquired from Geological Surveys of other parties. The level of accuracy of the map data varies because of the different scales of the source data. The scale of use of the data is 1:1 000 000. |
